Dog protective of mom and baby

I have a 2 yr old pomeranian\shih tzu who is generally a good dog. He is very affectionate and loving. I have. 9 month old son who he loves being around, he will even sleep underneath his crib. The problem is, lately my dog Arthur, has been very very protective of the baby.. To the point where he will snap at my husband if he tries to touch the baby. I have noticed Arthur has snapped at small children who have tried even talking to the baby. He hasn't bit anyone yet but he acts like he would. What do I do? Is this normal behavior?

You know, in hindsight and giving this more thought, I have to agree with Blu.
As sad as it is, probably the best decision to find her a new home

I would consider this to be dangerous beyond any behavioral training.  I do not beleive this dog should be allowed around any children at all.  I hate to say it, but if this were me, the dog would have already been gone.  Blessings - Blu

It can be.  My parents had a little dog when I was a baby that would not let my father near me.  They had to rehome her.  You might try doing some research on the Internet or consult a trainer/ behaviorist.
