My Labrador

I noticed that if I am depressed or sick it really affects my dog.  She is a 2 year old pure bred black labrador with the shiniest coat.  She seems to get depressed with me and if I cry she puts her front paws in my lap, tries to get my attention by staring in my eyes, and then starts nuzzling my face and finally kissing me.

Is this common??  And, what can I do to make her not worry about me so much?  Every since I brought her home barely winged she has been my shadow and my husband says she is very linked to me.

aww I love boxer mixes.  I don't know much about beagles, but I know boxer's are very loyal and loving.

Sounds like you've got a very sweet, caring, and empathetic dog there. She sounds a bit like my Donut.

He's a Beagle/Boxer mix, and he's the same way. He seems to know when I'm feeling down, and he always tries to cheer me up with his little antics.

Your husband's right. The dog has made a bond with you. And she'll probably always love you that way.

I've learned from both of my dogs, that they're gonna worry about the people they love, just like we worry about them. It's quite natural.
