My dog used to suffer with colitis..Every now and then it would get runny and she would drip blood and have blood in her poo also. Colitis usually acts up due to diet and nerves. Try her on a very bland diet. Rice and chicken, maybe...very little. The vet will be able to give your baby some medicine. It will clear it up within 2 days. Please try not to worry so much. She will be ok.
Dogs can have blood in their poo for a variety of reasons, most of them simple and easy to remedy.
You are doing the right thing to take her to the vet. Try not to worry. My dogs have had blood in their poop before, from a simple infection that was easily treated.
There you go girl, GOOD LUCK!!! Keep posted....:o)
my hubby thought it looked purple but i think hes colour blind haha her first one started out normal followed after a couple of inches by grass then blood her second was drops of runny blood im just about to feed her to see how her post tea one turns out wish me luck
To me, thats a lot better for bright red, its fresh blood, got to have something to do w/rectum, eating people food and straining,,,,is the stool large or sticky? Dog food not the right brand to keep the stool in good form??? Hum, not sure...
Gotta go vet though, to be sure.....
bright red no were near black and was runny too i know im a worrier but can hemmaroids cause quite a lot of blood
Yep, like Bobbe stated= bright red, dark and tarry??
Take a sample of the bad poo, put in container, and refrigerate, take to vet so they can see if you can..
You need to determine if the blood is bright red, which could mean hemorrhoids, and
is coming from low in the rectum.....or is the blood dark, tarry etc. Then it is coming
from higher up and needs to be investigated soon!!!
