Dog is sick

So a week ago my dog disappeared for two days.....which is so not like him I looked for him every where and even came to the point of looking on the sides of the road(I have a fenced yard he just found an escape) Then he came back home which leads me to beleive a neighbor may have had him in their house.....n e ways he was sick I thought maybe with not having food or water or etc so I covered him with a blanket gave him food and water he drank but did not eat.  He then vomitted so I took him to the vet alot of money later they said he has garbage gut they did blood test and found some anomilities but they were high because of his infection.  So he has been on an atibiotic and he still will not eat (going on a week) so back to the vet and now he has an calorie and calcium suppliment and a appetite inducing pill......he then had an "accident" of black diarhhea on himself.  I have no more money as I spent my last for hundred paying this vet for nothing it seems.  Any advice or ideas on what could be going on would be great.  His name is billy and he a 9 year old daushund.

I agree with Ginger....typically black diarrhea would indicate some type of internal bleeding.  However, you might also want to do a search on the medications your dog is receiving.....perhaps one of the meds could be contributing to the black stool.
May I also suggest you go to the top of the page.....under the Pets section, and take advantage of Asking a veterinarian.....
Best of Luck with your dog....Connie

Black diarrhea means some kind of internal bleeding high up in the gut, I think. I am not sure what might have caused this. He may have eaten something toxic possibly if he's been eating garbage, or he could have eaten something like tinfoil, or another irritant.
Can you find another vet near to where you live who will accept a payment-plan? Or is there any way you can find any money to get him back to another vet? You need a second opinion.
