My dog has a pocket of fluid on the side of her face that won't go away

My dog's facial swelling just appeared one day in August. 5 drains later, multiple rounds of antibiotics ( 3 kinds) with heavy doses of steroids, 2 CT scans, a dye test and X-ray and no one can figure out what is wrong with Gigi and why the swelling won't go away...not to mention, she is only over a year old and 12 thousand dollars later, we are at square one. They have ruled out salivary glands, cancer, cysts, tumors, jaw bone, teeth. The normal causes for this.  She has baffled specialists and is now being treated by a board certified doctor in Internal medicine.

Do they totally rule out a cyst or lipoma? I do know from experience with my dog that if it's a cyst, if they drain it and don't remove the sac, it will just refill. Have you talked to a veterinary dermatologist?
