Swallon belly

My dog has not been himself lately. He is not wanting to eat his dog food,  ( blue buffalo with salmon) unless it has coconut oil on it. He has lost a lot of weight. He has a huge swallon belly, which is hard feelings in spots. He is also very clingy. He is starting to look malnourished. I just had a baby about a month ago, I thought he was depressed. But when I gave him his bath I relized the amount of weight he not lost. He does have a disease that is caused by ticks, that attacks their jointsite, which the vet said is not cureable. When I pet him it's like all his muscle is gone he is just bones n skin. Going to vet on tuesday, cant afford to go to the animal hospital. Hopefully someone can give me insight why his belly is do swallon.
