Amelia Davis

Our 12 year old dog was diagnosed with Cushings in the spring (4ish months ago). The main symptoms were severe weight loss, incontinence and peeing in the house often, excessive thirst, and shaking. We first decided to try herbs/acupuncture, which didn’t seem to help- especially for the peeing. We finally put her on Vetoryl about 1.5 months ago and the first test came back that her cortisol levels were normal! Which is great. But still- she’s drinking a TON and having to pee all the time (some nights getting up to let her out every two hours...sleep deprivation is real!). We assumed that because her cortisol is normal- the peeing would also be. Any thoughts on this? She’s very sensitive but also stubborn- we aren’t sure if now she thinks it’s ok to pee in the house? Or if sometimes the constant urination just won’t be resolved. Any tips or suggestions are encouraged! (Also how to save wooden floors from the accidents...she REALLY has not been keen on pee pads...)
