I am so sorry for your losses. You are in my thoughts.
Oh, so sorry to read this sadness.
UPDATE: My beloved Charlie died in my arms yesterday afternoon....I can't stop crying. Thank you all for taking your time to help....
Coronavirus often shows the same symptoms as parvo.
Talk to your vet and explain that your other dog is now sick and ask if it is possible to do a "charge system" that allows you to pay when you can.
Pumpkin helps firm diarhea but if he is just getting worse he should really be seen. I KNOW it's expensive. Trust me.. My pup was sick for 4 months and we thought it was a virus, then a parasite, then her diet, they we thought she had severe allergies. 700$ later I found out that she was eating a damn plant my mom had in her reach when she would be over there!
That is Panacur and widely used. Have used it myself years ago. Usually has few side effects. Usually used from 3-5 days. I never had to dose that way so not sure about that. I would think you can at least call the Vet tomorrow, since the one puppy was already seen, update them on this pup and ask for recommendations as to what to do.
Check on the Pepto/Pepcid combo and the doses.
Did he recommend diet? Try some chicken (no skin) and rice. Give a few small meals. Make sure he is getting fluids. You could also try some baby rice cereal, mix into a gruel.
Good luck. Please update
Dr. Prescribed fenbndazole 3cc every 12 hours for 10 days for the puppy that just died (he died after 3 doses)
My surviving puppy Charlie is an 8 week old labrador. Today he won't eat or drink and his diarrhea is like slimy brown with small bright red blood clot and clear slimy vomit. He is depressed. No fever (tested with rectal thermometer)I don't know if I should force feed him. I am giving him Pepcid, pedialyte and I got him pepto bismol for his diarrhea. I want some advice please, don't want him to die too :"(
I am so sorry to read this. I would have suspected Parvo also and might ask the test be rerun.
I am not sure what to advise assuming the Vet has made the right diagnosis, perhaps you could get more meds without an office call. What wormer were you given? It can be very hard for puppies to recover. You do need to keep them hydrated. I just hope the appropriate medication doses were given. You don't say the breed or age but you might try giving some probiotics.
Wish I was of more help.
