Sudden death

My mixed Terrier all of a sudden lost weight had diarrhea  for 1 day and was drinking a lot of water.  She started acting normal eating more and gained weight.  Jumped around did her little dance played outside continued to drink a lot of water.  Then 1 day she started to squint her eyes and they looked like she had a cold in them.  Took her to the Vet and was told she had allergies.  The Vet gave her a shot for allergies and eye medicine.  She started looking better that night next day OK. Then the next day she could barely get around.  Would not eat and hardly could drink water. Her back legs were wobbly and she couldn't stand.  I gave her water with a dropper and a little chicken broth.  Left to go get her some pedialite and when I came back she had passed away.  I was only gone for 15 minutes.  I have 2 other dogs and they are fine.  I had Booty for 6 years, I think she was around 7 years old.  I am stunned as to what happen to cause her death can you help me?

I am so sorry for your loss.

The only way you will be able to find out for certain what the reason was for her passing is to have your vet perform a necropsy on her.  If that is still a possibility (if you have not yet buried her) then it might be a good idea considering the fact that you have two other dogs that could possibly be affected.

Can't help you, but I just wanted to say I am so very sorry for your loss, and sudden one at that.
