Yorkie cough

Hi, my sis has a little yorkie that started coughing about six months ago.
She took her to the vet and they cannot find the cause.  They tested for Valley Fever but it was not that.
I am feeling so bad to see her like that.

Can anyone help please

I am not sure about the xrays but they did mention the collapsed trachea, she has to see a specialist.

That probably requires a surgery and she is 13 years old, that is scary.

Thank you for your reply.

I assume they did x-Rays?  Is it a cough or kind of a gagging? Did the Vet mention a collapsed trachea which many small breed dogs can have?
