Are you sure that she is in pain and not just dreaming? I have a dog who wimpers in his sleep, but is fine otherwise. Could this be the case with your pooch?
Arthritis is really common in older dogs. That would be my first thing to rule out. I would try a good joint supplement like Glycoflex III, and I would call the vet first thing Monday for an appointment to have her examined. If your vet is open today (Saturday), call and make the appointment today.
If it's arthritis, the vet will be able to prescribe a pain medication that she can take while you are giving the Glycoflex III time to start working. After enough time on the joint supplement, you might be able to reduce or eliminate the pain medication, but the joint supplement has to be given at an adequate dose for a long enough time. Make sure your dog has a warm, comfortable place to sleep. Her bed needs to have adequate padding to be comfy and to insulate her from the floor. Good luck.
