pregnant dog
my dog had one puppy about 2am and it is now 9:30am and she is still acting as if she has more pups. the first one was still born and her belly appears to be soft and flabby. should be concerned?
Is there any news on your dog? What did the vet say?
It's not unusual for them to rest for a couple of hours in between the emptying of the two "horns" of the uterus if you're talking about a large litter of puppies. However to go this many hours following the birth of one stillborn puppy doesn't bode well for the rest of the litter OR for the mother if veterinary attention is not sought IMMEDIATELY. Please let us know what happened!
