My parents raised Lhasa Apsos. They had the same problem. The vet said it was allergies. Topical medications were prescribed to help with the itch and sorenesss. An oral medication was given to the dogs to help with the allergy reactions. They were both on there way to getting better in weeks. Best of luck to ya.

Yes, poor dog must be miserable.  Yes,what did your Vet say? Was any blood work done? Was his thyroid checked?  Were skin scrapings done?  Some of these tests may help to come to a diagnosis.
Keep us posted or send more info.

Welcome.....
Ouch! Poor little guy!  What does your Vet think is causing this? Do you know?
What do the bites look like & where on his body are they?
What Is the medicine that does not work?
How old is your dog? How long has this been going on? Is it worse during certain times of year? Or is it year round?
What other things have you tried?
What does he eat & how long has he eaten it?
Does he live inside or outside (God forbid)?

We need to figure out what is causing the problem, instead of masking the symptoms with meds....More information would be very helpful....Karla
