is a dogs sperm count active at 8 months
my st bernard is a 8 month old male and he got locked up with my female lab. is his sperm count active enough to make babies?

Yes I think it is possible at his age. It depends on breed, but male dogs can be fertile from 6 months to about 16 months I think.
