my dog is not eatingg :(

i have a dog((half yorkie and shih tzu )and she is 1 year old and almost 2 months, but she has stopped eating dog food ,the one that she used to love.now we are cooking her food ,without any oil or fat,and she loves it.She has lost weight and she sleeps all day!Can it be that she's depressed?..We have tried other brands of dog food but she doesn't like them. She only eats once or twice a day but in small portions of her dog food, which is not like before;the food in her bowl lasts for about a day and a half ,and we don't put a lot of food so.
If someone knows,please any suggestions?
thanks

Hey,
Everytime my maltese didnt eat it was either because of loss of appetite or because I was eating something in front her (haha).
But not to scare you because my dog died at the age of 11; when she stopped eating, i didn't know it would be her last days before leaving this Earth.

My suggestion is- if its serious and necessary, you should take her to the vet for some answers. Maybe she's sick?
Also, by cooked food what do you mean?
I know its not good to change a dogs food - especially at a young age.

Hope this helped.

My dog did this, shes a golden retriever, I took her to the vets and it was partly because I had been more busy at home and hadn't walked her much, I decided to cut down the time im busy and spend it with her, shes now running to me when I come in the door, maybe go to your vets? that's what helped me,

Hi, Dogs are creatures of habit. Have you changed anything about the times you feed her? Has anyone started a new job? Do you exercise her everyday? If she does keep up with the not eating I would take her to the vet The losing weight would worry me. Good luck I hope she starts eating again for you. Cheers

You don't say what dog food you have been feeding.  Have you had her to the Vet since you got her?  Is she up to date on shots and been checked for parasites?  Diet advice can be given but it would be best, esp since her activity level has decreased and she is losing weight, to take her into the Vet for an exam and get some blood work done and take in a stool sample.
