Dog Kidney failure

Caygeon has just last week been diagnosed with kidney failure.  She is stage 2.  Right now she is on Pepcid & Sulcrate.  Today we are taking her for her first fluid injection.  They are going to give us low protein foods & some other meds which I don't yet know what they will be.  Does anyone know how long they usually have between stage 2 & stage 4?  This is so hard to watch as you all know.  Thank you for any comments.

I am so sorry to read this.  So many have come on the forum with questions about kidney failure that another member has started a very good discussion group.  To the right of this page, look for Groups.  Click on that and the Firum title will come up then click on that.
I hope this might snswer some of your questions.
Good luck.
