Well, he will probably get away with it...it's amazing how they often do. I have known children who have eaten the most dreadful things and been perfectly fine.
There may be bacteria which may or may not upset his tummy. But it is definitely wise to get this checked out.
I think Connie has a good idea for you to call NHS Direct. They are very good, and that's what they are there for.

I'm sorry I can not answer your question, but...perhaps you could call your pediatrician, or a National Poison Control center. They may be able to answer your question.
