sensitivity to Albon dewormer?

11wk old Australian Shepard/Red Heeler pup was administered the medicine and shortly after she started running full speed all over the place but was disoriented ie ran into a wall and door  and was also yelping while running like she was in pain. The vet didnt find anything wrong and vitals were fine. Her symptoms are still present and shes currently back at the vet But no word on her status. Thoughts? please n thank you!

Was anything else given to your dog (At the same time) other than this wormer???? Anything???? Let us know...Thanks

I looked up possible side effects and pretty much found the typical ones of rash, swelling, lethargy, etc.  no mention of the symptoms you are describing.  However, any dog can react differently to different medications.  I assume the dosing was correct?

I have never seen or heard of a reaction to Albon myself.

Australian Shepherds seem to be sensitive to many things that other breeds are not....Commonly known are Ivermectin products.....

However, in this case, I suppose your dog is allergic or having a reaction to Sulfa Drugs....

My goodness, I would think they would give your dog fluids to help wash it out of the system....I sure hope they can figure it out!!! Please, come back & let us know....I've never heard of this before & am very curious! Good luck..I hope she gets better soon!!
