Oh my goodness! That is a negative experience. Some treatment, particularly anibiotics (or antibiotic eye drops) is needed here -apart from a referral to an eye specialist. I can see why a referral is a good option....but your vet should really have prescribed something to stem the infection!
Not all vets are stupid....but it sounds like your vet leaves something to be desired. Could you get another vet in your town or area to look at your dog?
i took him to the vet today and they said that his eye had been punctured and that he got an infection from it. But they didnt give him a dang thing for it just another number to take him to an animal eye doctor like what vet see's there is an infection and doesnt help the poor baby i argued with them four hours to get him freaking eye drops or antibiotics just something for my poor baby ugh vets are stupid....
He needs some help from the vet. I'm sorry I missed your question before, it's been hours and hours since you posted, I know.
It's difficult when you don't have a car, but surely there is another way to get him to the vet? A ride from a friend or neighbour? A bus? I don't know...try to find a way.
I hope by now you took him to the vet, to get them to take a look at his eye. This could be an infection, either of the eye itself, or of the "inner eyelid"
Let's hope it's good news, and the vet gave you some medicine for him...?
Please do post back to update us if you get the chance.
