Downs syndrome with thyroid nodule, causing sickness
I have a brother who is 28 years old with Downs Syndrome. I was just wondering my brother has had sickness on and off for over 12 months, he has a nodule on his thyroid, My question is could the Thyroid nodule be causing his sickness. Also i would like to know if this is a common feature for Downs Syndrome, as we are getting a bit fed up with our GP keep shrugging his shoulders, and sweeping him under the carpet.
We are at our wits end and dont know were to turn for help.
If anyone could recommend a specialist who deals with adult Downs Syndrome, or any information on the matter, we would be grateful. We live in the UK.
I am from Down's Heart Group so deal with heart issues generally, but I also know a bit about thyroid from having issues myself and my mum having nodules. If you would like to email me ***@**** and give me a contact number I will call you and do what I can to help you through my contacts. (I would suggest you call me, but I am in and out of the office all week)
Thankyou for the comment, only your e-mail doesnt show up when you post it on the forum. So i have sent you an inbox message with my number, and e-mail address. I look forward to speaking to you.
Thankyou very much for helping, it is very much appreciated.
