URGENT! PLEASE HELP!!

I have a horrible ear ache...I'm not sure if it's swimmer's ear or an ear infection. But I looked inside both my ears and the one that doesn't hurt looks normal and fine. However, the hole (external auditory canal) of the one that is agonizingly painful  seems to be swelled almost completely shut. It hurts my ear everytime I burp or move my jaw. My throat hurts terribly as well, but I don't know if that's a seperate problem or not. Please help! I can't even sleep...

Thank you so much, again. God bless you!

This is really starting to scare me, but I'll try and get some of the medicine you suggested.

Me again. I totally understand the $ end.  Something else that you could try is  Similasan Earache Relief it is a homeopathic produst, but you can get it at Wal-Mart. It is a little spendy, but cheaper than the doctor.  It will not cure an infection, but it should help with the pain. Also, maybe try benadryl or the cheap stuff of the samething. Good luck

Thank you so much, but because of financial problems and whatnot, going to a doctor is nearly impossible right now.

But thanks again for responding and for your concern.

I suggest going and seeing a doctor.  Until you can get in take something for the pain. and useing a heating pad (on low setting) or warm hot water bottle in a light towel of blanket and lay the ear that hurts on it. Also gargleing warm salt water may help the throat until you can get in to see the doctor.  Good luck and I hope youfeel better soon.
