Is something wrong with my son Hearing

My son is going on 3 years old he is always holding his ears, and is always say what i dont know if he is playing or if something is wrong with his ears he doesn't tug at his ears.  he just alway covering them like it is to loud or something a car going fast a truck going by is loud . Can there be sensitive to sound. i hope you can help

This issue is difficult to assess as kids sometimes do hold their ears without anything being wrong.  The place to start would be to make sure that there are no abnormalities such an ear infection by having your child evaluated.  Hyperacusis is a condition in which there is a sensitivity to sounds and can be seen in children.  There are many causes for hyperacusis and there are audiologic tests to assess for this condition.
