Chronic bloody noses

My 12 year old daughter has chronic bloody noses.  She has since she was a toddler.  At age 5 she had her tonsils and adnoids removed and at that time the dr said her bloody noses should be less frequent.  No such luck.  They seem quite severe, usually have very large clots and take some time to get them stopped.  It is in warm, hot and cold weather alike.  Someone suggested she have her nose cauterized.....I hate to do that to her.  Please help with your suggestions.  Thank you so much.

My ex husband  has Von Willebrands-a bleeding disorder. He experienced frequent nose-bleeds. Just throwing this out there. Best!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Cauterization of a prominent vessel takes about 20 seconds and is easily done with local anesthesia in an ENT's office.  It is important, however, to rule out another source of the bleeding such as a nasal or nasopharyngeal mass.

Good luck!
