Feeling of something stuck in my throat

For about 3 weeks now I've had the feeling of something stuck in my throat...developed after a cold that I had...right around the same time I was cleaning my parents basement that had mold in it. Now I'm noticing pain at the top of my neck right at my hairline...going to the Dr. on Mon. just wondered what this could be or if anyone else has noticed the same symptoms

Forgot to add the reason I know this is because I have a thyroid glossal duct cyst,  it arose after I had something stuck in my esophagus  then I developed these tonsil stones, , and I have been around alot of chemicals myself.  sincerely,  okiegal..

Yes my dear, it does require surgery, but its an outpatient surgery  .  Your recovery time is about one week.  They do a sistrunk procedure.  Which means they also remove the middle part of your hyoid bone, which fees the branch/tract, for another cyst to grow, so they dont want to take any chances.  Its best to have the complete surgery, with the sistrunk, versus just having the cyst only removed/drained.  Good luck, and let me know how things go.  Sincerely, okiegal

Have a doctor see if you may have a Thyroglossal duct cyst.  You will feel a mass that may or may not hurt a little on touch. Its usually located around your hyoid bone area, or above it.  If your having problems swallowing, breathing, and notice yourself coughing or clearing your throat.  You may have it.  Especially if your over the age of 20-30.  Good luck,  sincerely, okiegal
