My preauricular sinus is infected. What can I do?

Hello! I am a 12 year old and this marks the first time I make a query on MedHelp. I think this is the right place to seek advice as this site has a blooming community and people with similar experience. ( I was led to this site by a google search about my condition. )

Last September, my preauricular sinus had gotten infected and started swelling. Quickly my mother tackled the issue and we were able to treat it in a few weeks.

The infection came back in late November and still goes on. My mother was able to keep the swelling at a discreet, manageable and soft level. However, today, it has started swelling up more and it has kind of burst and created a small new hole, where my mom was able to drain a lot of pus blood and a sort of mucous membrane.

She has drained it and we are keeping it clean to prevent infection and continuing to drain. What can I do at this point? Anything I can do to restore the ear to normal size and get rid of the infection? Outside of surgical procedures that involve excision, any solution is welcome.
