thanks nancy

i saw an ent specialist for nose problems and i mentioned my dizziness and my vertigo when i put finger in my right ear. he just did a hearing test and said i dont need any more testing. however, my new family doctor did some physical examination and he said there is a chance something is wrong in my inner ear and is making me appointment with another ent dovtor. im pretty sure some inner ear problems are causing my symptoms because i can tell i.e when i move my head i feel worse etc. i did brain scan and it was normal. my mother in law had even hallucination due to an inner ear problem and she cured it.

thanx again for your reply

Should read "regardless of WHETHER the specialist can discover and treat..."

Chronic dizziness can indeed cause anxiety and feelings like depression and I think 'depersonalization" too. Like looking through a thick glass window, being unconnected to reality. It's because when the brain is trying to reconcile the bad input from the inner ear with the sensory input from other systems (eyes, feet), it becomes overloaded, and the other symptoms can result.

Talk to your doctor. Get referred to an inner-ear specialist if you haven't already. There are numerous medications that can be tried to help with the feelings you describe, regardless of the specialist can discover and successfully treat the underlying cause. Good luck!
