14 y.o. Bulimia

Hello People,
I have had Bulimia for a few months now. I'm 14 years old and overweight.
I remember days, where I didn't purge at all, and then days, where I purged like 3-4 times.
I really want to get out of this circle. I've tried the tips people give in youtube and other websites- but I can't seem to stop it.
I confronted my parents about getting a therapist (without telling them I'm bulimic, )but they didn't take me seriously.

So I'll help myself then.

Now I'm determinded to start a healthy Lifestyle and I hope I can lose weight on the meantime.

What do you think I should absolutely do?

Tell your parents the real story ASAP!!! Get professional help as soon as possible. My wife has had this problem for 15 yrs it just gets harder everyday that goes by to get out of this rut. It will ruin your life!!! She waited 5 yrs to get professional help thinking it was not that bad and has been in several rehabs with minimal results now. DONT WAIT ANOTHER DAY!!! The eating disorder will tell your brain its ok but DONT LISTEN!! Best of luck to you!

I think you need to talk to your parents again and tell them flat out what the true problem is. A therapist, or facility, can absolutely help you get out of this vicious cycle. A healthy lifestyle starts within yourself first and the way you see your self-image. You need to find the beauty in your own body before you can ask your body to shape itself further. The irony behind eating disorders and losing weight is that you actually aren't losing any fat mass by way of these disorders. You're going to become increasingly worse on the inside, while seeing a false perception in the mirror of the outside. Once you find your self-esteem and inner beauty begin a healthy diet regime of simply 2,000 calories a day. Healthy calories! No junk food, overly processed crap, or soda! Then start up running. Start with 1 mile, then 2, then 3, or however long feels good for you. Your 14, you have plenty of time to reassess your eating and workout habits. Just go slow. How much do you weigh right now?
