I do take them daily, but I stopped today. When I stop taking them a few days in a row, I feel really bloated, uncomfortable, and huge.

I was on laxatives for awhile but I got such bad cramping when I took them that I finally decided to stop taking them. Maybe since your body is so dependent on them, you could start out by taking less and less everyday. Or would you rather just stop cold turkey? Also if you just want to stop taking them totally (which is a really good thing to do) maybe you could take a medicine like Gas-X. When I took that it would make the cramps and pain go away.

Did you know using laxitives do not make you lose weight? What it will do is stop the ability to have a bowel movement on your own. If you are really worried about what you are eating, eat fibre like carrots. If you do have bulemia or anorexia, the sooner you get help the better you'll feel.  I personally would take fibre pills or hava metamucil type drink to get it naturally going, NO laxitives.
