Weird gagging

OK, I don't have an obsession with losing weight, I have lots of friends, I am pretty content in my life.  I don't have anorexia or bulimia, etc...  My problem is I "randomly" throw up on food.  How fast I eat, how much, size of bites, etc... are not factors of this.  I have drank water, and thrown up on it, I have ate a little piece of steak and thrown up.  I do notice it does happen a little more often with meat.  What happens is while eating I will get a "blocking" feeling at the bottom of my throat, it doesn't really hurt or anything.  Then I usually stop eating, sometimes it just goes away but most of the time I will throw up what I just ate with a mix of Flem.  After a while (recently as long as 1.5 hours) the "blockage" feeling goes away.  I am very confused about this.

Once the feeling goes away I feel fine besides a soar throat (usually not even soar just dry) and in a rare case a stomach ache.  I usually continue eating and everything is fine.

I mostly breathe through my mouth, during a dentist appointment it turned out that I can barely get air from my nostrils to my lungs.  Due to that I had my tonsils and adenoids removed although I still don't think I breathe regularly though my nose.  I don't have many food allergies, only eggs, but I have many other allergies such as dustmites, quite a few types of trees, grass, pollen, and quite a few flowers.  I have a couple abnormal spinal disks and am seeing a chiropractor about that (not a big problem, you average imperfect spine)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry, when it says I do throw up voluntarily it should be "I don't throw up voluntarily"

BTW I do throw up voluntarily only when I get the "blocking' feeling.  I am at a healthy weight.  Could maybe loss just 5 lbs or so but my body mass index is fine.
