Could this be Endo?

Since I was 15/16 I felt pain in my pelvic area, twisting like 'balloons'.
I would cry at night but never told my mom, because I "was never going to a gyno!" How stupid of me then!

When I was 18 I began getting sick after I ate every meal, just really, really nauseous. My periods are always irregular & the pain would cause me to miss school/work, etc. Still does. I'm 19 now.

I started Yaz last March and had a pelvic exam, I didn't care for my doctor as I told her about my pain and she dismissed it. I began getting really sick and dizzy in the mornings / nights. Then it began...I was having stomach / pelvic pains and eventually throwing up everyday. Only the past month have I been leaving my house!

So in September of last year I finally went to my first of 5 hospitals (no insurance, 25 doctor visits too - grr!)
They diagnosed me with IBS - every hospital I have been to has. The thing is, I now have lower right back pain/ shooting down my leg. They said sciatica, but it is more extreme before my period/on my period as well or so it seems. It's so debilitating I can't walk. I'm on a lot of medications to keep the nausea and vomiting down, but it's still so bad I'm getting sick most every morning.

Also, I've had numerous tests done, also pregnancy tests - every, single, time.
I quit Yaz after September but the symptoms have not let up.
They've checked for gallbladder, kidney stones, etc.
In September I had an Upper GI/Lower GI / Stomach Biopsy, Colonoscopy, Xrays, Cat Scans, etc.

& This year I've had more xrays of my stomach/lower back as well.

I'm currently on seven medications a day and I'm 19. I feel like I'm just 'patching up' a problem and I just want to live normally again. I'd really appreciate any insight, as I feel lost. It has taken over my life. Could this be endo? Should I go to a gyno with this? I only ask because I don't want to waste my time if it really IS IBS.

But, my "IBS" symptoms include:
Vomiting
Nausea
Stomach Pain/Lower Pelvic Cramps
Diarrhea for months, now Constipation/pain when BM
Sometimes rectal bleeding
Lower back pain down one leg too
Headaches & Increased Anxiety
Extremely debilitating periods/can't walk, bleeding a lot / Always been like this.

Thank you so much for any help you can give!

About IBS. With my fertility issues I went to see a fertility nutritionist. A lot of conditions have overlapping symptoms. She asked me to get tested for celiac (alllergy due to gluten). I went to see my allergist. I saw another doctor in the practice. He told me they now understand that most IBS is due to a gluten allergy. I was floored. I did not test positive. I was not eating gluten at the time I tried to eat before the test. Maybe I did not eat enough. There is also a genetic test to determine if you are at risk to develop celiac. Seeing a good allergist may be helpful. It would be good to rule it out if possible. Good luck!

Thank you both for your input.
I was a healthy 17 year old before all of this happened. I even had health insurance, but now I can't get coverage, got to love that.

Becca - Just the insurance has been stopping me, but I'm ready to say screw it anyways - my health is more important than money, my house or even my business anymore.

To Gloria, I'm sorry you only have a 1% chance of having another, your words mean a lot.
Thank you for sharing your story too.
& on a political note, I do support health reform! We need it, especially us women.

I'm keeping everything under control decently with a lot of medications:
Synthroid for Thyroid
Promethezine / & Reglan for Nausea 4 times daily
Klonopin for Anxiety twice daily
At night, Effexir before bed for anxiety to rid the Klonopin (which has only been temporary since the hospital)
I'm also on:
Ondansetron & Nulev four times a day for anti-spasmatic medicines.

It's just very frustrating, even a new doctor I seen last week told me these are just patching medicines...so where is the answer?!

Thanks ladies, I'm going to head to the gyno next week.
Appreciate it.

I was first diagnosed with IBS years before my endometriosis diagnosis. It is common to misdiagnose endo as IBS. So I am not really sure which is causing my digestive symptoms.  Definitely go see a gynecologist. I made the same mistake when I was your age. I did not want to see the gynecologist either. I wish to God my endo was diagnosed sooner. I have one child and only a 1% chance of having another. Protect your health, protect your fertility by seeing a gynecologist now.

On a political note support health care reform! You should have insurance!

that was meant to say 'relation between your'  heh.

But yeah it doesn't sound like endometriosis, if you look up the symptoms for it it doesn't really include typical cases of vomitting and headches at all.

you should definately see a gynogologist. What would be stopping you?

Most doctors would have referred you to one already, it seems odd.

They can at least explain the relationg between you excessive period pain and your IBS symptom, even if it isn't a form of endometriosis.

In my family endometriosis has never happened just on it's own unfortunately, it's always included weird other things. I am not sure if the two could be related with you.
