Just Diagnosed!

I was just dx on Friday after a Laproscopy procedure in which a septated complex cyst was removed (5cm) and some of the lining I guess.

I am looking for advice/support, as I am very unfamilar about this illness and I am getting mixed info online.  I have my drs appt in 2weeks to talk to her.

Has anyone noticed that if you change your diet that it helps?  What about using natural proestrogen?  Like the cream?  Instead of birth control pills?  I just don't want to take any of the synthetic hormones and would prefer the natural ones if they really work.

Any advice/suggestions would be much apprecaited!

Also, when can you start lifting after surgery?  I had it Friday am but haven't even attempted to lift my 26 lb daughter yet!  I am still in a lot of pain and discomfort and I am trying to take it easy...

Thank you so much!

i had lapro excision surgery for stage 3 endo. my doctor told me not to lift until 4 weeks after surgery. he said when i start lifting again if i start hurting stop. this is your body telling you it is too soon. many women who have endo pain adjust their diets and say there is a difference. endo feeds off of estrogen so it is best to stay away from chicken and red meats. organic chicken is best because it doesnt have all those added hormones.  eat fruits vegetables, stay away from dairy and sugars, drink a lot of water, take omega 3 vitamins, antioxidants.

Glad you are recovering......
DO NOT lift heavy stuff.  You may feel much better but your insides take weeks to heal!

BC pills seemed to work the best for me but only temporary.  Lupron did not work for me and I hated every minute of it.

Talk to your Dr, try different stuff until you find what works for YOU!

Hope you heal soon!

sorry to say everyone is differant and some things work for some cases that dont work for others. Your not supposed to eat foods with alot of hormones in it like cow products but fish is good for you. and omega is good for you.

Progesterone cream worked for my friend. Of course nothing really works for me. A high dose of birth control keeps mine in check. Sort of.Good luck!
