I live in a rural area of Mexico, where a good doctor is very hard to find. I've been sick for about 3 years now & not one of the doctors that I have seen has done much testing. They don't even ask what medication I might be allergic to, they just give me medication for what they think is wrong with me & I have to deal with possibility of not being able to take the medication, because it turns out I'm allergic. Finding an eye doctor here is even worse. I won't go to Guadalajara, just too much traffic & I'd still have to take someone that speaks Spanish with me. That is really the biggest problem I face.
Never heard of celiac disease & no they haven't done a full thyroid panel on me. I'm not even sure they have those test available in the area I live in (rural Mexico).
Have you been tested for celiac disease and a full thyroid panel screening?
I too have various comorbid diseases fibro, osteo, tmj, IBS, Gad, IC, and major depressive disorder etc
There is not much I can say other than I had to fight for tests , specialist and I am still in pain. I go to a pain clinic for Endo, fibro and tmj but it's far and I can't take time off to go often so some things like my jaw do not get taken care of since I am trying to get all these disease in check.
