Should I Have a Laparoscopy??

I have had extremely painful periods for 10 years. In the past 4 years the pain has become a daily problem. I have pain during intercourse, irregular periods, headaches, fatigue, and almost all other symptoms of endo. However, I have had numerous U/S's and MRI's and they have all showed up normal. I have seen 6 different doctors several times and they all say something different and I never get any answers. I recently went through a miscarriage and Im scared for a future pregnancy. I cant live with this pain and I want to know if it has something to do with the miscarriage. Should I have the laparoscopy to be sure it is/isnt endo? Has anyone had MRI's and U/S's show up normal but found endo with the surgery??
I just want to know whats wrong with me and I want the doctors to quit telling me everything looks fine, when I know that it is most definitely not fine!

Thank you!

I say go with your intution. It's to my knowledge that they can't really diagnose endo via an MRI but rather by lapo surgery. My doc didn't diagnose me until after seeing it during my lapo. He said it was real severe. I had a few Ultrasounds and 1 MRI so they could see my cysts...and never did they read the endo from the xrays...they just suspected it. Try a specialist and listen to your intuition, painful periods increasing over time sounds like classic endo to me.

I just saw a new doctor who strongly believes it is endo, so it looks like Im going in for the laparoscopy!! Hope it goes well!

the problem with docs it there not inside your body, for almost a year before it was confirmed I have endo I felt like I was going crazy. because I was in pain all the time and nothing I did helped and none of the test that I took showed anything.  by all means have the lap done, that is the only way that docs know if you do have endo and  if you don't have endo at least you will know.
