Endometriosis pathology results

Hello all. I'm a 28 yo female. After suspected endometriosis, I went on Lupron but couldn't last on it more then a month... I was miserable on it. Doctor decided to operate. I had my first laparoscopy for endometriosis on 3/29/10. I haven't seen my Dr after surgery yet... I will be seing her next week. Endometriosis was confirmed... endometriotic implants were found in the posterior cul-de-sac/uterosacral ligaments... nothing on my ovaries or tubes. Dr took pictures of the endometriosis during the procedure. She did find a "questionable" spot: a 0.3 cm tan irregular soft tissue. She took a sample for a biopsy. I'm looking at the pathology report right now and the findings are "FRAGMENTS OF DENSE, FIBROUS TISSUE AND SMALL NERVES WITH OVERLYING SCANT MESOTHELIAL CELLS AND CRUSHED CELLS". It goes on to say that this tan tissue is somewhat consistant with hemosiderin (iron deposit???). They belive the crushed cells are a possible endometrial stroma (that doesn't sound too good I don't think). The mesothelial cells raise the possibility, but are not definitive for endometriosis and it states that clinical correlation is required. I was told by the nurse that if it was something really bad I would have gotten a call asap. The doctor it on vacation, returning on Thursday and will call me that day. In the interum, does anyone know what any of this means??? I've been trying to do some research, but there info scattered all over the place. Any help woud be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I did get a call back from the doctor yesterday and left me a message.  She said that pathology along with my history and her examination do confirm endo.  She definately wants to see me next week... I have an appointment with her on Thursday.
I feel like the endo is back already.  The pain I have right now is worse then before I had surgery.  Agggrrrr I can't stand this.  I can't believe there isn't a real cure without a total hystorectemy.  Blaahhhhh

Sorry i cant help you hugely but to say that well done for getting through the surgery and im sure everything will be ok! I went through the surgery and it flattened me for months but after a small amount of time realy built back my strength and health and realised how important it is to listen to your body, stay healthy, excersise and try not to get too anxious about it all.
I got a huge amount of anxiety about everything to do with my body after the surgery which made everything so much worse and harder to deal with.
I know it's hard! I had a terrible experience with doctors and nurses who were not clear post surgery! But book in with one when you can and ask everything you need to know.
If it was serious they would not have let you check out of the hospital.
Good luck!
