Hi. I had 10 cm chocolate cyst on my right ovary, tumor and other complications. I had a lap done. It was very serious because of the tumor and the blood from the cysts was sticked to some organs. My right ovary was removed during the lap because it couldn't be saved.
I think that you will have a lap done. Your cyst is smaller than mine (it's 6.7 cm i think) and you don't have another complications as far as I know, so I think that there shouldn't be any bigger problems. In every surgery there is some risk and we should be aware of that, but not to panic or something because that is not always like that and it turns ok.
Generally, the cysts, the endo and similar conditions and the medications that we use to resolve this kind of problems influence on the fertility, but it depends of different organisms and of different cases in this area. There are many cases where women with many problems of this kind got pregnant and had children. In some cases is harder and it takes more time, in some is easier and in some cases women aren't able to get pregnant, it depends of how serious is the condition and ofmany other things.
I hope that you woun't have any problems and that everything is going to be ok with your case! I had many many serious problems, but I am here and I am ok, waiting for the next step to be done. Take care and have a nice day!
