advice

I been trying to concieve for 3 years. A new doctor said that I might have endometriosis because I have severe pain during ovulation and period, especially when I have sex. I'm schedule for a laparoscopy on April 13. What I would like to know is how long after the surgery I could try to get pregnant. Thank you

You can start trying as soon as you have the "OK" for post-op sex. I think it may be 2 wks after your lap that you can't have anything in your vagina.

Now how long it takes to get pregnant is a different story. Firstly I think it would depend if the endo is even removed. Some endo may not be able to be removed because of the location. If it is removed, some women get pregnant immediately, some take longer or not at all. I'm assuming the presumed endo is possibly causing infertility?
