As far as the after care, my doctor just told me to be sure to keep the incision sites clean.  I washed them with an unscented anti-bacterial soap and they healed up great.  Just be sure to follow any lifting restrictions too!  I was not able to lift more than 20lbs for like 4-5 days.  My son hated that but I really did not wanna take any chances!  Take care of yourself hun and I hope the pain goes away for you soon!  =)

I would drink water before, but after the surgery there are so many nasty taste in your mouth with all the meds.  YOU WILL APPREICATE that TEA then.  If your Dr. didn't tell you all the home meds you need to buy, then here is a list that has helped me have a speedy recovery.  take 3 stool softners every day after your surgery, in the morning first thing, for a week at least or until you feel comfortable having a bowel movement.  Also with every meal take a gas x for a least the first 3 days after your surgery because you have a ton of gas and it is very painful.  the first night after your surgery you should take a laxative a BEDTIME only.  Please ask your DR about this things to buy.  I have read so many stories or horrible experiences because their DR didn't give them this knowledge.  Knowlegde is power. And power will get you to a painless quick recovery.  This surgery I have had no gas or problems with BM because my DR rocks.

I had surgery 7 days ago, I had stage 2 endo which we didn't know until he got in there.  Dr. Molenzon went in to make me fertile.  i have had 3 miscarriages.  First he cleaned my tubes, tilted my uterus,(which was laying on my colon causing severe back pain during my periods) clean my uterus and removed all the endo and scar tissue and also removed my left ovary and tube (which will make me twice as fertile on the right side).  i had 24 staples in 4 different places on my stomach and they were removed on Monday.  Today is Wednesdy and I was in the garden today pulling weeds, (A few) not over doing it of course but really recovering quite nicely.
I basically had a overhaul done and I have a new engine down there that is fertile and raring to go.  Just waiting for the Dr approval to have intercourse, but when the gun sounds this car will be off to the races.   hehe   good Luck to you and i hope your Dr is as wonderful as mine.

Did you call? What did your docs office say?

If you continue to drink it you will greatly increase your chance of having complications with bleeding during your surgery/operation. That's not something small, so you need to stop drinking the tea and just drink water and other simple drinks.

If they told you to quit drinking it - do it. There are many herbs and medications that will thin your blood increasing your chances of complications during surgery. I suggest calling the office tomorrow and let them know the last time you drank the tea and how much you consumed. They may need to push back your surgery date. Good Luck!!
