Bleeding after sex HELP!!!

I have been on continuous BC for over a month now and in that month I have had sex twice (sad, I know lol) but both times the day after I started bleeding.  It's like normal period bleeding, which should not be happening, and the last time it lasted 11 days with clotting and everything.  Last time when I called and talked to a nurse she said to take 2 pills a day til the bleeding stopped.  Well it stopped after almost a week of doubling up, and I went back to 1 pill a day on the 1st.  Now last night DH and I had sex again and today I am bleeding and shedding clots again.  I talked to the same nurse and NOW she says take 4 pills a day til the bleeding stops, then go to 3 one day, then 2 then back to 1.  Is it just me or does it seem like the nurse is just guessing at a solution here?  Do you think I should try and get in to see the doc?  The thing that worries me is that it always happens after sex.

i hear you on this...i have been experiencing this for the last month or so...Have you had a physical lately to make sure all is ok?  I did do that and everything came back fine, dr said he wasnt sure why I was bleeding after sex...soo he recommended that I document it the next several weeks when it occurs, how long I bleed for what it is like etc...he said it could be a cyst,,,did they mention that to you at all??  I totally understand the frustration with it..I am experiencing it too...i do agree with above taking 4 pills is crazy...sometimes too, its finding the right pill...how long does the bleeding last for??

Well, I ended up going in and they put me on a new pill once again.  The bleeding stopped and I have been doing great for about a week.  Then today randomly I start bleeding again and the pain is coming back.  The flow is like a regular period too.  I just don't know what to do anymore.

Definately see a doctor. Taking 4 pills a day to stop the bleeding will bombard you with oestrogen that you definately don't want as it feeds endometriosis.
