If your doc sees endo all over, it may be the best thing to have a hyster. Endo can start binding all your abdominal organs together and penetrate your bowels.
Maybe set some stipulations with your doc about if he sees this or that then he has or doesn't have your permission to do a hysterectomy.
When do you go in for your lap?
Thanks for your reply. The only thing I am worried about as far as getting a hyster. done is that I am having no problems.
Hi there! First, I am sorry you have to go through this...about 5 years ago, I was FINALLY diagnosed with endo. I was 18 at the time. I had a large chocolate cyst on my right ovary also, and lost half of my right ovary due to the cyst.
I have thought long and hard about what I want to do when I am done having kids (currently have a 2yr old and have been ttc for 1 1/2 for #2). Well, I have decided as hard as it will be, I am going to get a hyster. A hyster is basically the only thing that will take care of your endo for good. After that, it will never return, you will never have to deal with the pain, cysts etc. However, we will have to deal with the side effects of a hysterectomy. To me, I find it worth it. I am 23 right now, have lost 1/2 an ovary, sometimes have painful intercourse, painful ovulation, painful cycles, cysts...you name it - all due to endo. Of course the decision is completely up to you, just weigh your options... If you have any questions feel free to ask, even send me a message...
I wish you sooo much luck :-)
Hugs!
