not diagnosed yet, struggling to find answers. are these pains normal?

I am 28 years old. for 14 years I have been told that my horrifically heavy and painful periods were due to my bleeding disorder and it was normal. years of birth control and no help with pains or cycle at all. the past 2 years the pains have been becoming more debilitating. I feel constantly fatigued, bloated, and no tests or procedures have come with any answers. I've been told im normal and the pain is unknown by so many doctors. I could be walking and end up bent over from the sharpest pains that can be in my ovaries, groin, or even in rectal area. Some pains feel as though an ovary is about to burst. My tailbone used to hurt the week or 2 prior to my cycle badly, but I had fractured it twice and thought that may be why. for 4 months I have been on a continuing cycle of birth control, skippin placebo in hopes it will make pain reduce and it has done nothing. I feel like im going insane but if the pains are sharp or acute, its the worst cramp feeling I have ever had. If it isn't either of those I always notice some type of discomfort. I don't know if this sounds familiar to anyone but any advice or input would help. today is a very hard day and I don't want to even get off the couch in fear it may be more uncomfortable.

sounds very much like endometriosis which can only be diagnosed through laproscopic surgery! I would suggest finding an endometriosis excision specialist who can diagnose and excise (cut out) the endo all in one surgery.
You most likely also have pelvic floor dysfunction and that is the pain in other areas ~ it's basically like the charlie horse we get in our calf except this one is in our pelvic floor muscles!
I strongly recommend you get to an endometriosis specialists as all the b/c pills are nothing more then a band-aid...and they don't really help stop or slow the disease process as many regular gyns like to suggest...you need a true specialist and the way to know if they are a specialist is by asking questions such as
if I have endo on my bowels can/will you remove it...if they can't handle bowel endo they are not specialists...there are only about 100 out of 52,000 gyns in the US and it's even worse in other countries...so just because they say they are specialists doesn't mean they really are...so do your research!

Have you considered Depo shot? It's what I use so that my periods go away. You might also consider going to a doctor that specializes in hysterectomy. My sister and my mother both had early hysterectomies from having horrible periods. My sister was 29 when she got hers. She would bleed for 2 weeks and they were extremely heavy with a lot of clotting that would cause pain. She couldn't be on any birth control, and because she didn't want anymore children, they went ahead and gave her a hysterectomy.

i cant be on depo for some aspects of the blood disorder i have. i have said to a few friends recently that if they do this surgery and an option is a hysterectomy i would without a doubt. the pain is just becoming too much to try and cope with. the constant cycle with no placebo pills has stopped my periods but its the highest amount of estrogen that is in any type of birth control and it has not helped with pains at all.
