pain.

I was wondering what treatments there are for endometriosis. I am not allowed to go on any type of hormonal treatment, for other medical reasons, and I'm having trouble keeping the pain levels down to a minimum. Last month was the absolute worst it's been, so far, to the point where it made me so physically sick that I began throwing up. I have been put on high dose pain medication and was told to take it at the first slight twitch of pain, and have been doing that, but it's not really working. I don't know what else I can do. Any one know of other treatments or something else I can try???

Did they tell you if the endo was in your uterus or in your abdominal cavity??

If you aren't able to try hormones and such, they could try a d&c where they can scrape some of the scarred endometrial tissue out to help reduce your pain drastically.. or they have procedures with lazers and such where they can burn areas to help reduce the tissue from spreading or some such thing I've been told. Other than that; I wish I had more treatments to suggest, it's just painful for alot of us, some it's not so harsh, and for some,(like me), it can take over your entire life until you find some way to cope... I wish you luck in your endeavors tho, and Happy Holidays:)
