mono and strange symptom? related?

Hi, i'm new here but i hope someone can shed some light on this question for me.
Four years ago i developed a really severe case of mononucleosis... fatigue, fever, sore throat, swollen spleen, swollen glands in my neck and throat, etc. and strep throat at the same time. A few days prior to the symptoms, i got this weird ulcer looking thing on my labia minora, i don't know if it was skin erosion or an ulcer or what.. i didn't pay too much attention to it at the time and it just seemed to appear and then disappear 2 or 3 days later. My mono went away in about 3 weeks and I haven't had any symptoms of the ulcer or mono since. I just remembered this happening recently and started worrying about what might have caused the ulcer? Ive read online that EBV/infectious mono and strep bacteria can cause ulcers like this in the genital area, what do you think? I had sex (unprotected) 2 years and 1 year before the ulcer occured, and no symptoms after that until the mono. Do you think that it could be the EBV that caused the ulcer? Thank you I appreciate any answers you can give.

Have you ever been tested for HSV-2? The reason that I ask is because Herpes Simplex I or II can manifest itself in that way. You may wan to follow up with your gynecologist.

Oh, I should add, the ulcer was really painful. I can't remember exactly what it looked like but it hurt to urinate and there was (I think) one on one side and a smaller one on the other side. I don't think it scabbed or anything, just stopped hurting and disappeared after 2-3 days, which is why i didn't pay a lot of attention to it.
