Any advice for workouts for those with poor joints?

I've had seven foot and ankle surgeries and four wrist surgeries. All my joints are so weak it's hard to do traditional workouts. I can't run due to plates and screws in my feet, and biking is hard on my knees. Short of physical therapy there isn't much exercising I can do. Anyone with a similar situation who can give me some advice?

Hi thewickedone.

It is good etiquette to read other members' comments before posting.
This way you avoid  the suspicion of Plagiarism- "stealing" the ideas and suggestions of other posters.
I'm fairly sure this was not your intention.

Try water aerobics; very little stress on the joints.

Hi Ana.

I would suggest you first look into your viamin D, vtamin K2, boron levels as well as calcium / magnesium ratio.
If you have a vit. D deficiency and you're taking supplements w/o much success, please post pertinent details.

As far as exercise goes, the safest and most effective type would be swimming and water aerobics.
Gentle yoga may help, but you must find an experienced yoga teacher
who is knowledgeable in  yoga rehab therapy.

Best wishes,
Niko
