Im around 5 foot 2 and just under ten stone which apparently is an ideal weight, however i used to be alot slimmer so im currently dieting so i can get back into my bikini for my holiday in August. I have had cellulite for years and its now depressing me as im not fat or over weight but my cellulite is a real let down. Im considering surgery as it really depresses me! Im going to carry on exercising and increase how long i exercise for and im drinking more water as apparently this helps!
When we eat to much and gain weight we gain extra fat cells, but when we exercise and lose weight we SHRINK our fat cells. You CAN NOT get rid of fat cells you can only shrink them. You shrink them very small by eating health and exercise but just remember everytime you gain just 1 lb you are creating new fat cells and not making the ones you have bigger.
The best way to lose weight is cardiovascular exercise. 15 min is great but you don't really hit the fat burning zone until at least 20 min and then % of fat burned increases as you exercise for longer duration of time. Weights, lunges etc are great to strengthen the muscles underneath but there is no such thing as spot reduction as your body will lose weight in its own way. Generally the first place you gain weight is the last place you will lose it. That ***** but is true.
Good Luck
Hi,
Balanced diet and exercise help to get rid of cellulite. Other options include regular massage, laser treatment, and thermotherapy.
Please consult a good cosmetologist before you try any of these procedures.
Take care!
Cellulite is generally linked with genetics.
Make sure you are drinking lots of water. Massaging the area can help bring fresh blood into the area temporarily plump it up therefore diminishing the appearance of cellulite.
You can find all kinds of firming creams etc, that claim to help reduce the appearance of cellulite, the key with these products is the action of massage them in. It will not make your cellulite to away but it will help reduce the appearance.
Medically, you can have fat injected into the dimples to plump them up. Painful and expensive but it's the only way to change it long term.
Weight loss can help, but most importantly you need to build muscle tone. I've seen some really "skinny" people with tons of cellulite.
