try mendmeshop.com they sell a nice ultrasound device which may help you with therapy at home, is less intense than the device used by professionals but it may give you more options as far as being more flexible with the therapy. if you call the website contact people, they give you advice and may give you better pricing too. I use it all the time since I have chronic tendonitis from Repetitive strain injuries due to extended computer use.
Hello!
I would suggest you to go to an orthopedician.
A proper X-ray scan and an MRI will diagnose properly any soft tissue tear or bony involvement.
Till then you can apply ice packs and take intermittent NSAIDs.
Take care!
You partially tore a tendon. They'll want to give you an x-ray to see if you tore part of the bone away if you fully tore a tendon. Depending on the doctor and the severity. They may give your a steroid directly injected into the tendon itself. This is rare. Most will prescribe an anti-inflammatory. After eight months you will probably be sent to a physical therapist. During the first few visits of mine they use ultra sound and anti-inflamitiories through using a patch and small electrical current. The ultrasound should feel pretty good. The anti-inflammatory will tingle/burn but the over all process isn't bad. You have a long journey a head of you. Rest up and remember when working out. People don't get strong over night. It takes time. The more you do doesn't mean your going to get stronger quicker. It means your making it hard on your muscles to repair themselves and your only hurting yourself in the long run. Trust me, you'll never do this again.
Go see a good Physical Therapist. Depends on exactly where your burning sensation is presenting, but they can do a battery of tests to help determine a possible diagnosis and then suggest treatment or refer you to a specialist.
