CHEMICAL CONTACT

HELLO DOC.I HAD JUST STARTED USING MINTOP TOPICAL 2% SOLUTION FOR HAIR LOSS.ON BOTH THE OCASSIONS I DID NOT APPLY THE SOLUTION PROPERLY AND IT DRIPPED INTO MY EYES MAKING IT BURN AND PAINFUL.I DID NOT WAS MY EYES CAUSE SOMEBODY HAD TOLD ME IT REACTS WITH WATER.NOW I FEEL BLURRY,HAZY AND HAVE PAINFUL EYES.KINDLY SUGGEST SOME MED OR DROPS TO REVERSE THE PROBLEM.WILL IT CAUSE ANY LONG TERM DAMAGE.PLZ HELP.

you should have done some flushing with water immediately afterwards.  did you?

you need an exam.  you could have a chemical burn or corneal inflammation and need treatment.  there is no "over-the-counter" treatment that i could suggest for this type of injury.  you need professional care and possibly rx-only treatment

doctor can u please elaborate wht is meant by the rx treatment.i had called up my eye surgeon and he says there is nothing to bother.wht is chemical burn.how will it affect my eyes.plz elaborate.will it lead to permanent eye loss.also can 2% of minoxidil mixed with water  prove to be swo deadly.plz help.

also can i visit the doc after 3days .is it fine.

i doubt that you have caused serious damage, but i really have no idea.  can you wait 3 days?  it depends on if there is damage and how much damage there is.

rx treatment means prescription eyedrops.

chemical burn means damage to your cornea from the stuff you got in your eyes...dont know if you have that or not.
