New glasses causing unusual problem

I recently got a new pair of glasses.  They are no line Bi-focals.  When I tried them on for the first time they felt uncomfortable.  Nothing I could immediately identify.  The man at the store that fitted them said I would have to wear them a while to get use to them.  Today I happened to notice that when I look at an object in the distance like a roofline or a tree, the color at the top of the object looks yellow.  This happens when looking at dark objects.  It does not appear when I look through the lower part of the Bi-focals and does not appear when I am not wearing the glasses.  Does anyone have an idea as to what is causing this problem?
Thanks

I wonder if it is possible that the frames of your new glasses are causing some kind of discoloration that you are noticing while looking through the top portion of your glasses for distance.  I also have new frames, with progressive lenses, and when I first tried them on was told the tightness could be adjusted.  After the new lenses were put in, I went out of town, and now I am going to take them back to see if they can be adjusted again as they are causing a dent on the bridge of my nose from pressure.  I can feel them somewhat in the temple area, too.  I thought they were too small initially.  I don't see discoloration (yellow) like you, but it seems since I've gotten these new glasses, I have started to see floaters, which I have not seen in many, many years.  It seems to me that it is the glasses that usually need adjusting and not the person wearing them.  Sure, maybe a prescription change can cause a slight adjustment period, but I have had to return glasses because a doctor wrote the wrong prescription (actually not the doctor but the technician.)  If the frames are uncomfortable or are causing a distortion in your vision, I would definitely take them back if it is not resolved in a week's time.  You could take them to the person who prescribed them to see if they are made correctly.

I don't think it's the frames as they are silver colored wire.  The color edge problem isn't just near the frames it's in the whole area outside of the bi-focal area on the bottom
Thanks for the reply.
