did the doc instruct you to lay in a certain position (head down)? sometimes they do and sometimes they dont.
ask your surgeon these questions, if you can.
The doctor had me lie on my face or hold my head down on the table for 4 hours per day for the first 10 days. Not as bad as many, I told. I will try the doctor tomorrow and post any results. thanks jack
I called the doctor and he said what I am experiencing is quite normal. He said it is OK to wear an eye patch to avoid confusion because of the changing sight in my right eye. Be patient, seems to be his best advice, as nothing has been compiled dealing with recovery because everyone is different.
I had a vitrectomy in May of this year. There is a thread that discusses recovery titled: Macular Hole Recovery posted on 4-18-06. Although yours was for a Retinal Tear this thread is worth reading. It should give you some information on the reabsorption of the gas, and the timing it takes to reabsorb into the body. If you have any questions, please contact me.
