weird eye issue

I have been getting headaches a lot lately.  I admittedly spend a lot of time on the computer.  My main concern however, is that my eyes are feeling "weird" lately.  It is hard to describe.  It feels a little like when you are overtired and can't stand to have your eyes open or closed.  They don't feel dry but "squiggly" if that makes sense to you.  I can't stand to look at anything. It is near impossible to focus. It makes it hard to drive and having kids that makes me nervous.  Is this something I need to see a doctor for?  And if so should I see and optomotrist or an opthalmologist?  Thanks so much for your help.

*isn't wrong.
Oh and also, an opthamologist is not just for people who want or need surgery. opthamologists have more tools and resources then most optometrists to carefully diagnose your particular situation.
I thought it was wrong too to make a diagnosis on the internet!

I am quite shocked about some of the information posted on this website. First of all, I was reading a comment about a woman who had some questions about her eyes, mainly concerning papilledema. The doctor who replied told her that if she had had papilledema she would have I quote "horrible, horrible vision"
I was diagnosed 6 years ago with papilledema which resulted in many CT scans and MRI's as well as a lumbar puncture aka spinal tap,
Over the years I have experienced a lot of nausea and vomitting.
I since returned to the optometrist earlier this week and have once again been told I have papilledema. Now this doctor said if u have good vision you don't have papilledema. Well in fact that is wrong...my vision is almost 20/20....pretty close. There are many things that can cause papilledema and if left untreated can cause total blindness or in the worst case death.
I am not a doctor by no means, but if you feel something is wrong get it checked out...just because you can see fine doesn't mean something is wrong. In fact I was told this week that my vision is better than it's been in years but the papilledema is worse.

Thanks so much.  I will do that right away. I am just glad to know I am not imagining this.  I was afraid it was all in my head!

sounds like a possible refractive issue to me, so IMO optometrist is your best bet.  i tell patients only go to an ophthalmologist if you need/want SURGERY.

yes, you need an eye examination.  go see an optometrist.
