4 yr old frequently rolls his eys to the right corner

3 weeks back my 4 yr old son started rolling his eyes to his right side. This just started all of a sudden. He does this everyday since he started, with most of the days very frequently like every 40 seconds. He does this irrespective of whatever the activity he is doing. It seems he does this mostly when he is looking at closer objects. When I asked the reason for this behavior, he said he feels that his eyes are being pushed backwards. Sometimes he says his eyes are watery. We used Zaditor and Benerdil-Allergy medicines with little or no relief. I believe its not done purposely, because it seems he is unaware of doing this sometimes.

Sometimes he rubs the inner corner of his eyes, and it seems his eye lids are swollen a bit too.

I worry all the time how long this will go on, or will it be cured ever. What he does is very very odd. It may disturb any one watches what he does, without knowing the cause for it. So, I can't take him to public places where he will stay more than 2 or 3 minutes. I have taken him off his preschool all this time. He's been at home almost all this time. Obviously his daily routine is totally disturbed. You know what I mean...

So, I very greately appreciate any help you can extend here for me to find a cure for this terrible condition of my little one.

Thank you so much!
Yours respectfully,
Elizabeth

You son needs to see a pediatric ophthalmologist in the near future. Ask your pediatrician to refer you to one OR find one at www.aao.org   Those symptoms need an ophthalmologist to evaluate in person.
